About the building
A small building which looks as if it was built as infill. The original brass fittings that illuminated the shop and shop window by gaslight were still there in 1979. There was a gated alleyway leading to a cycle-store at the rear, where customers from the Temperance Hotel opposite could keep their bicycles.
